Additional information:

This area of concentration requires participation in productions, which means much evening work. Because of productions, courses in this area are offered only during the day.

Career Information:
An area of concentration in theatre studies plays, dramatic works, their origin, and production. Students will take coursework in history, performance, and production aspects of theatre, including opportunities for creative projects. The degree will also provide the necessary knowledge to pursue an advanced degree, if desired. Theatre students may find careers in professional or community theatres, acting, directing, radio, television, film production, journalism, writing, nonprofit organizations, education, marketing, and many other areas of the entertainment industry.
