Career Information:
An area of concentration in library science prepares students with the skills needed to work in a variety of library-type settings. These skills are learned through coursework in literature, as well as the developing, storing, finding, organizing, and managing of information. It will also provide the necessary knowledge to pursue an advanced degree, if desired. Library Science students can find careers in public, academic, and special libraries, as well as a diverse array of other public and private information agencies.
For more career information, check out American Library Association Education & Careers, U.S. Department of Labor - Librarians, or UNO Career Center.
