Career Information:
An area of concentration in healthcare administration prepares students to develop, plan, coordinate, and manage healthcare operations and services. Students are able to specialize in gerontology, health education, or general administration. This degree will also provide the necessary knowledge to pursue an advanced degree, if desired. Depending on the specialization they choose, healthcare administration students may find administrative, management, or support positions in clinics, insurance companies, hospitals, nursing homes, public health departments, universities, healthcare organizations, medical practices, and rehabilitation centers.
For more career information, check out American College of Healthcare Executives Careers Page, U.S. Department of Labor - Medical & Health Services Managers, or UNO Career Center.
